I cringe when I go back over my first few years blogging.  When I worked with brands my photographs were very poor.  They had a lot going on in the background.  Fast forward eight years later and I have a much better idea about what I need to deliver.  The effort I have put in has awarded me with more exciting opportunities.   However, I want to continually improve and look for ways to better showcase the brands I collaborate with.  One way to do that is to purchase mocksups from Design Bundles.

My mum is an avid crafter and she got me onto the Design Bundles website.  I am feeling inspired after looking at the mockups available.  I don’t know why I didn’t go down this route earlier.  It would make a big difference in how I present products for brands.

Other bloggers spend a small fortune buying actual photography backdrops.  It can get very expensive when you want to keep up with other blogs.  Then you must find somewhere to store them!  It’s just so much easier if everything is downloaded onto your computer, not taking up any space in your house.  They can remain in perfect condition ready for you to tweek and insert the product you want to display.

I have a little confession currently I use a scrap bit of shower board for my backdrops, left over from when we had our ensuite fitted.  But I think it is time I changed and had a variety of backdrops to try.  The mockups at Design Bundles would give me so much choice without spending too much. Plus don’t forget if you want to work on your fonts too, I did a review on font bundles on my site.

It’s that time of year many blogs are working on Christmas gift guides, so the Christmas Scene Creator is a useful asset.  Not bad for £20.13 at all.  It gives you 33 moveable options so you can make each mockup look unique and interesting.  I had started dusting off my Christmas decorations we got them down from the loft early to use in mockups.  It would have been so much simpler to use this mockup instead.

This scene creator comes with a pumpkin, pinecones, leaves and a feather and three backgrounds all for £9.29.

It’s so simple to add text so these mockups do make wonderful title feature pictures.  Sometimes its hard thinking of what picture to lead with in your blog post but these scene creators are a real asset and can simplify your life as a blogger.

Summer Scene Creator

The Summer Scene Creator is only £9.29 and has 25 objects you can use in your mockups.  These objects are amazing.  Other bloggers seem to collect different objects in real life so they can create mockups.  But for me the digital option stops you having to get out there and hunt around for the perfect shell or tropical flower!  You just have it all waiting for you on your computer when inspiration strikes.

I would recommend having a browse on the Design Bundles site.  Depending on what angle you mainly blog about there are so many other mockups that might suit you better.
