If your children were ever fans of Dora the Explorer, this comedy family adventure film will go down a treat!  It tells the tale of Dora who goes on an epic journey to rescue her parents.  At 16 she had been sent to high school whilst they looked for the lost city. However high school seems quite a change from the life she was used to in the jungle.

Initially Diego is a bit embarrassed to have his cousin join him in Los Angeles.   He has been living there for much longer.  Having got used to city life his cousin is in for some adjustments.

But as the story unfolds, they need to support each other.  They have to work together to help find Dora’s parents and outwit the devious Alejandro.  Being captured by mercenaries and flown to Peru ends up being the perfect way from them to get to know each other again!

Expect traps a plenty, quicksand and puzzles to solve.  It’s like Indiana Jones but pitched for a much younger audience.  Although the grownups will love the trip down memory lane, either they grew up with Dora and Diego or they have kids who did.

Fortunately we can also rely on Boots the monkey to come and save the day!  It’s great to see Dora and Diego all grown up, I love how they have translated the animated show into this epic adventure.  Even Swiper features!  It’s like they have thought of everything.
