I think chocolate might be my most favourite gift!  So dear husband if you are reading this take note.  I was looking on the JM Posner website.  They are an established chocolate moulds supplier and I have seen a chocolate fountain I NEED in my life!  The battery operated tabletop chocolate fountain (priced at £145) would make entertaining more exciting.  Plus as a tired out mum chocolate really does make everything better.  I am sure lots of mum’s would appreciate this as a gift on Sunday.

Alcohol

If your mum is partial to a drink, Cranes Gin is an excellent choice.  Not only does it come in an attractive looking bottle, but It is also a handcrafted gin made the founders and twin brothers Ben & Dan.  They have used only the finest natural ingredients, so you feel like you are giving a high-quality gift.  Each bottle has been made with over 50 premium cranberries from Wisconsin, USA.  This helps give the gin that fruity taste.  It costs £32 for a bottle through the Cranes website.

If your mum prefers cider then I can recommend Cranes Cider which is a light refreshing drink.  According to their website it has 30% less calories compared to brand leaders.  They have made three very appealing flavours, Blueberries & Apples, Cranberries & Limes and Raspberries & Pomegranate.  They have used only the finest ingredients to make this crisp cider.  The cider gift set priced at £13.50 seems very reasonable. It is attractively packaged, includes the three flavours and a branded glass.

Hot Drinks

If your mum prefers hot drinks, then Whittard is the place to shop!  Since 1886 Whittard have sourced and blended the finest teas, coffees and hot chocolate.  We were sent a Cocoa Creations Hot Chocolate Gift set.  It includes a selection of different luxury hot chocolate flavours.  Priced at £25, it’s well worth it to be able to sample delectable flavours like rocky road and salted caramel.  Given how cold March can be hot drinks will give your mum the comfort she craves until the warmer months set in!

Trace Your Family Tree

My parents are both very interested in genealogy, so a subscription to a site like Ancestry might make a novel gift for your mum.  They can discover more about their past.  Ancestry lets you go back 1000 years so you can learn so much more about the history of your family.  If you gift a AncestryDNA test they can then connect with people with the same DNA.  It can be very fulfilling going through the process and learning about ancestors you never knew you had!

A Beach Towel

It might not sound like the most exciting gift but then Tesalate don’t make your average towels.  These beach towels have such vibrant designs and are very light weight.  I was sent the Cali Sunset design and it is such a beautiful beach towel!  You feel like you could look so glamourous at the beach when you own one of these.  Each Tesalate towel is ultra-absorbent, they can soak up over 1 litre of water.  Plus, they dry very rapidly too.  Just what your mum needs if she has any travel plans for 2020.  If you are feeling particularly generous maybe gift a holiday to go with the Tesalate beach towel!

Sweets

If your mum has a sweet tooth I am sure she would enjoy a giftpup Bon Bons Letterbox Hamper.  Priced at £19.99 I was very impressed with the contents.  It’s handy it’s a gift that can fit through your letterbox.  But they still squeeze a lot into the box.  It had five bags of tempting sweets and five mouth-watering gourmet chocolate bars.  It all looks very luxurious and is a thoughtful gift your mum might even share with you if your lucky!  I know my boys are trying their best to get in my good books with that in mind.

Sticking with the sweets theme The Gift Experience company have a jellies sweet hamper that is bursting with sweets!  My youngest helped unpack it and he couldn’t believe the selection.  Priced at £37 and presented in an attractive wicker hamper, I think it makes a wonderful gift idea for Mother’s Day.

Experiences

I am a big fan of the buyagift site.  I am firm believer that experiences make the best gifts of all. For me it means you’re giving so much more than a physical gift, with amazing memories that can last a lifetime!

I have used them twice recently for my son and a good friend, buying a fast car driving experience, afternoon tea and a visit to the Shard.  So, I am always happy to include them in my gift guides.   I have been sent a voucher to have a two-night hobbit hole break later in the year, which we are all very excited about.  I will of course include a full review once we have had a chance to visit.

Beauty Products

If you mum likes being pampered, the Australian Pink Clay Mask from T-Zone can be a welcome treat for Mother’s day!  I am prone to spots and this product tightens pores and detoxifies your skin in just 15 minutes.  The included vitamins A, E and C will help nourish your mums’ skin.  It only costs £8.95 so if you are on a budget it beats the cost of booking your mum a spa break!  Pink Clay products are usually more expensive, so its great T-Zone have made a face mask that is affordable to everyone.

Personalised Gifts

The Personalised Gift Shop sent me a family tree personalised framed print worth £24.99.  I really do love this it looks fantastic on my sideboard.  It’s a decent quality wooden frame and such a thoughtful gift idea.  This company has specialised in personalised gifts for the last 10 years so if you want to give a more meaningful gift, they have lots of suggestions.  If you want more inspiration have a look at their site, they have so much choice.  Everything from personalised trinket boxes, glasses and photo frames to cushion covers and canvas prints.

Footwear

Mums can be on their feet a lot, so why not treat them to a comfortable pair of sandals for Mother’s day.  Warmer weather will be on its way eventually I promise!  We all need to put those dreadful storms behind us.  This is my first experience of Havaianas and I found my Havaianas My Riviera (£34) to be a joy to wear!

Some sandals and flip flop brands take ages to wear in and be comfortable.  But these have been great for the moment I first slipped them on.  I love the design features; they are light weight and non-slip.  Very much a practical shoe that doesn’t lack when it comes to style either.

PopSockets PopGrips

Another practical gift that I personally love are PopSockets PopGrips.  Designed to make your mobile better these phone grips add more personality to your phone and make it easier to hold.  They make a big difference in keeping your phone steady.  I am so impressed with the wide choice of designs available over on their website.  You can even upload your own photo!  Although my favourite are the shimmery PopGrips, they look so beautiful and sophisticated.

The tops are swappable so you can save money once you have ordered your first top and base.  I think that is a great feature.
