I was excited that Trolls World Tour is now available on DVD. If you want a happy film to watch with your family this ticks all the boxes. It’s colourful, sparkly, magical fun from start to finish! Expect lots of singing and dancing in this high energy musical extravaganza.

In the first film in 2016 the Trolls had to save their village from the Bergens, who wanted to eat them to be happy (which pretty much sums up how I feel about cake!). In this sequel Poppy and Branch have new challenges to face. This time Poppy has discovered that there are actually six different troll tribes all represented by a different type of music. There is Pop, Funk, Country, Classical, Techno and Rock.

However, Barb the queen of the Hard Rock Trolls wants to destroy the other types of music. She attempts to steal all the magical strings from the other troll tribes as part of her cunning plan to convert everyone to Hard Rock. The film has a good message behind it of the importance of diversity and how everyone doesn’t need to like the same things.

Poppy has to enlist the help of the other tribes to try and thwart Barb’s plans. I love the introduction of a new-born troll too, Tiny Diamond is awesome and so cute! You are also lucky as the DVD comes with the short Tiny Diamond Goes Back To School.

The film combines so much real musical talent with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson and even the world-renowned conductor and violinist Gustavo Dudamel to name but a few!
