Whiter Teeth in Ten Days Thanks to Colgate
I drink a lot tea, especially if someone else is up for putting the kettle on. I will gladly keep drinking it! I used to drink my tea black but was alarmed at the colour of my teeth. Then I started adding a token bit of milk to try and offset the staining. It felt like I was doing more but still not proactive enough. I probably should have also made a habit of regularly using a whitening toothpaste. But usually I find I am not a fan of the taste of them. Fortunately I was asked to review Colgate Advanced White toothpaste available from Waitrose and the subtle mint taste is perfect. I was looking forward to the promise of whiter teeth.
Clinically Proven
Colgate Advanced White has clever micro-cleansing crystals that help achieve whiter teeth in just 10 days! It did sound too good to be true. But it has made a big difference. Handy if you have a special occasion coming up and you want your smile to be bright and beautiful in a hurry.
Fortunately, Colgate Advanced White is gentle enough to be used every day! Plus, it has been clinically proven to gently polish. I did notice my teeth feeling much cleaner and smoother when I ran my tongue over them.
Staining

I hadn’t realized just how many foods stain your teeth. I knew the usual suspects with tea and coffee but had no clue about the effect of tomato-based sauces and curries which we all enjoy as a family. Rather than cut out the food we love it seems less of a sacrifice just buying the right toothpaste for the job!
This toothpaste removes 10x more surface stains compared to a regular fluoride toothpaste! How impressive is that. So, if you like your red wine, fruit juice, berries, and beetroot you can still enjoy them. Although it doesn’t hurt to drink your fruit juice through a straw to protect your teeth either! It would look a little odd perhaps to do the same with your wine.
Good Oral Hygiene

Although food is a factor in staining poor dental hygiene is the main cause according to the NHS. So, make sure you brush for a full two minutes twice a day. Don’t ever rush out the house in the morning skipping brushing your teeth! A decent toothpaste like Colgate Advanced White and a good tooth brushing technique (making sure you brush ALL the surfaces of your teeth!) works wonders.
Alongside this toothpaste you can also eat crunchy fruit and vegetables to help achieve whiter teeth. These are natural stain removers they scrub the teeth clean. It seems much easier to use toothpaste like this and eat more vegetables than going to the trouble and expense of bleaching your teeth in the dentist.
This product was gifted by Colgate, but all views are my own

I have had the misfortune of stains on my teeth. It seemed to be at front teeth, and at the junction of natural tooth / teeth and dental filling/s (being a non smoker, likely culprit :- Tea. ). At that time I mentioned to dentist :- Who advised / recommended scrape and polish :- Dutifully I attended the dental hygienist at this dental practice.
Only to experience later appointment requested by dentist for scrape and polish at the same dental practice following having had dental treatment. Yet no discussion in regards to scrape and polish, or attending / need to attend hygienist. This surprised me, so when dental receptionist offered dental hygienist appointment :- I asked why? She said dentist requested therefore he must have felt there was a need. I declined appointment, as my teeth were fine, no staining at the time. I did not return to that dental practice. As I was disappointed with that experience.
I did some years later at another dental practice request information regarding dental veneers. Following seeing a small poster on waiting room wall. Following discussion I went ahead with dental veneers. Good outcome.
Dental practice I believe should be part of Health Care ( NHS), and aimed at Preventing dental problems. As nothing like good healthy natural white (or near white) teeth. Has an impact on health :- Physical, Social, Psychological, Emotional, etc, etc.
Nice, healthy, fresh teeth, mouth, breath is what NHS ( National Health Services), Individual /s, Dentist /s , Toothbrush and Toothpaste manufacturers should be aiming for. Up to date information / guidance can be helpful.
Thanks for the information. Getting to sample / try out a product can be beneficial. Colgate is a brand that we are familiar with.
