I think if I write how I really feel right now this post might be quite negative which isn’t my usual style. I keep trying to focus on the positives like our new bathroom which makes me smile. But if I am being completely honest, I am feeling a little deflated. All of Wales has been plunged into a tier 4 lockdown. It seems crazy when some areas in Wales would be the equivalent of a tier 1 in England (which includes where we live).

But despite that all our non-essential shops were forced to shut with barely any notice, no indoor or outdoor attractions for us at the moment either. I guess we have our health and that is the main thing, and I mustn’t try and grumble. So instead, I will focus on some nice things which happened this week.

My Husband Came Home With Flowers

Always a nice surprise when the husband comes home with flowers. It’s been a tricky week with the boys having to be home-schooled (Wales secondary schools closed a week early) and workmen still in the house. So, this festive bouquet did lift my spirits.

The Bathroom Is Almost Finished

We can use the toilet and the sink anyway! It is quite handy having more facilities in the house. It would have been completed already but the shower glass was broken. So, we are being sent a replacement, which I am hoping will be fitted on Tuesday. We need to paint the walls a light grey, then pick out a few bathroom accessories like a mirror and we are all done.

Christmas Lights

I thought it might be nice to go and see as many Christmas lights and decorations as we could. We needed to find our festive cheer!

Blog Work

This weekend I have been busy working on getting a draft together for an exciting LEGO campaign which was fun. Earlier in the week I got another competition live. Azul is such an addictive game. We have been playing it everyday this week. Other blog posts included six reasons to track your child’s phone and How To Make A Doll’s House.

Christmas Decorations

My mum gave us Christmas cards and they had these cute snowmen decorations she had made. They look fab on our tree. We have been lucky as we had the ones off the boys’ nanny back in my week 49 so the tree is looking better than ever!

Christmas Nutella Tree

My youngest son made a Christmas Nutella tree. It was so good warm we devoured the whole thing in no time at all! We will have to encourage him to make another.

Takeout

We ended the week with a tasty takeout Sunday dinner. My friend had given my husband and I a voucher for our birthdays so we thought we would make the most of it today to cheer us up with the tier 4 news.
