I can’t believe we are into May now! My eldest had another busy weekend with work. He was delighted to have some more of his own spending money. It’s a little strange not making plans as a family as he is at work. But my youngest and I had a lovely woodland walk among the bluebells. There were so many bluebells everywhere it really was the most beautiful sight.

My youngest managed to catch up with his science homework. I also enjoyed a giant homemade scone that went down a treat!

It’s a bank holiday weekend but we don’t have anything official planned for tomorrow. I like plenty to keep us occupied but we seem to have turned into a family of gamers where screens rule the roost. It’s fortunate then that gaming is good for you I guess!

Guinea Pigs

We met my friends guinea pigs. They are so sweet and adorable now, much tamer than when she first got them. Whenever anyone opens a wrapper, they come running on their little legs as fast as they can hoping it’s a bag of salad! It’s quite entertaining to watch.

Pretty much like me but I would come running for cake. Although for the last couple of weeks apart from the scone and a piece of lemon cake off another friend I have been very good about what I eat. Also, I want to be more active, the endorphins are helping keep me happy whilst I deal with other things!

Keeping Busy

This week I have been keeping myself busy doing random jobs! I decided to try my hand at chopping up some bits of wood to tidy up the garden. Power tools are a little scary the first time you use them! It’s all the noise, sawdust and mainly the blade! But I managed to do it all myself.

I am not sure if I would rush back to do it again. However, I can tick it off my list. Don’t worry I will be putting more exciting things on my planned to do list! I need to stop nibbling my nails as I want to book my first manicure. I am so used to watching the pennies but its high time that changed and I learnt to spend a bit more on myself.

I am still tackling the ivy in the garden. Lots more to do. I also need to have a go at shaping the bushes and trees next, so they would be spaced out better. I am just building up to that! They look a bit crazy at the moment, with branches all over the place! I have a few bluebells in my garden too. But not as many as I would like.

Blogging

I managed to get my review for the Pro All Surface Swingball live. Plus a few more items have arrived in the post which I need to get cracking on with, mainly sweets and wine so quite a winning combination!

Dinner Out

We had dinner out this evening to end the week nicely. It was lovely to do something all four of us. Then we came home with the intention to watch a family film although only the kids and I managed to stay awake for that!
