Some of us might view getting older with trepidation, so going through this list of most famous pensioners can give anyone worried quite a lift. Ageing certainly does not need to be seen as a time of decline and deterioration. These famous pensioners below continue to delight and entertain the public.

As you get older you can actually offer valuable knowledge and insight and still have a capacity to work. There are lots of benefits of working later in life including social engagement and mental stimulation. Perhaps this is way the Queen is doing so amazingly well at the ripe old each of 96. So, I am not surprised at all to see her majesty making the very top of this list.

Queen Elizabeth II

Remarkably the queen has 4,200,000 monthly google searches. To be honest many of mine will have been added to that figure! For example, checking how old she is, her enjoyment of a gin and Dubonnet cocktail before lunch and her handbag habits.

The Queen uses her handbag to let her staff know when she is ready for a conversation or social event to end. She just switches which arm she has her handbag on so her staff can respond accordingly. I find the Queen to be such an intriguing person and always looking effortlessly stylish.

Elton John

Second on the list is Elton John with 2,240,000 monthly google searches. He is still continuing to perform on stage and is a dad of a 9 and a 11 year old. So really age is just a number that doesn’t have to hold you back! He has actually performed over 3,500 gigs.

Although now he is doing his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour with a retirement from touring planned for 2023. However, I don’t think he will drop far from the list even then. The flamboyant style of Elton John and his excessive eyewear always seems to capture the interest of the public.

Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney is 80 years old and has 1,500,000 google searches a month. Widely known for his part in the Beetles he continues to be popular in the public eye. Heading to google it looks like searches focus about his wealth, about his nickname Macca and what makes him so special. I also learnt he once he even had a pizza flown in from New York to London on Concorde!

Prince Charles

The Queens eldest son and next in line for the throne is fourth on the list. At 73 years old he is the youngest in our line-up thus far. He has 1,000,000 google searches a month. The general public seem keen to know why he wears a kilt, why his fingers appear swollen and why he might not become king.

A fun fact about Prince Charles he has a car that runs on a biofuel made from surplus red wine!

Ozzy Osbourne

Last on the list of the top five famous pensioners is the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne a famous songwriter and TV personality. He has the same number of google searches as Prince Charles but is a lot less popular on Wikipedia. He is the same age as Prince Charles.

I am not a fan myself; I think it’s awful he bit the head off a bat and that’s one of the google searches people seem to fixate on. He has always been one for the macabre, his live show in 1981 he pelted the audience with pig intestines, raw chickens and dead rats. But he has battled with drug and drink addiction and used his experience to set up Road Recovery to support young people with addition. Incidentally he has added bat conservation boxes to his UK home so he might be trying to right that wrong.
