Okay guilty of another big break between my weekly updates! The last one was the 15th of October which was week 41. But I will try and catch up when I can, as I do enjoy looking back on what I get up to for memories sake.

Community Work

I have been busy with my community work, visiting churches and community centres dropping off Co-op refreshments. I have enjoyed getting to know the people in the community, it is such a rewarding role. But it is a bit of a juggle as its only four hours a week. I have used my blog Christmas gift guide to give out £100’s worth of prizes to the community. I think with the cost of living crisis its nice to think I am making a little difference in the local area. Next week I might even feature in the local paper so that’s another mini achievement I can tick off!

College Application

My eldest has been completing his college application this weekend. That seems so crazy, I can’t get my head around the idea that he is almost leaving secondary school already. I don’t quite believe it; it seems so grownup. How is he turning 16 next year!

Blog Work

Eating Out

I think eating out happens to be my favourite pastime, I know I need to cut back a bit but it’s one of my greatest pleasures! I enjoyed a cooked breakfast from a Café with my husband.

We had a lovely afternoon tea as a family using up our buyagift vouchers, I think my only grumble would be the scones might have been a tad overcooked, although they did still taste very nice.

The feature picture was taken in the garden outside of The Wild Pheasant Hotel and Spa as I loved the colour of the leaves.

Whilst on holiday we bought these beauties! Fully loaded brownies, I regret not buying more…

Smart Meter

I am very excited that we now have a smart meter installed! It has been very enlightening. My eldest is not allowed 30 minute showers anymore that’s for sure! I thought gaming would be hiking up the price (my husband thought we might have had to have a few film nights on one TV) but its more the electric shower, dishwasher and washing machine. We have got a lot stricter, and it seems like our electricity bill is becoming cheaper for it.

Holiday

Over half term we went away for three nights to stay at Sunridge Retreats in Devon. It was just the break we needed. Lately its been all work and no play, so we needed to remedy that! Here we are in Salcombe.
