Week 41: Chocolate tasting and cake eating
I haven’t left it as long since my last weekly update. Only three weeks this time! I have also been getting stuck into my third job as a Co-op Member Pioneer. It is only a part time role. However, I am enjoying getting to know people in the community and find ways I can support the local causes important to them. It is a very rewarding role, making a difference to the area.
I am still loving being a letting agent. It’s nice doing administrative work again, but with the variety of getting out of the office to do inventory reports or viewings. I still have lots to learn but am relishing the opportunity.
Viewing The Cars
We went to see lots of different cars. The boys were a bit grumpy, being dragged on a day out! Sometimes with teens it seems easier not to bother. But I bought the most amazing Welsh cakes so I will take that as a win. They had variants like fudge, salted caramel, and white chocolate and cranberry.

Plus I am hopeful that the boys can look back when they are older and realize those rare breaks away from the console were worth having!!!
Blogging
I have been busy behind the scenes on my blog, working on my Christmas gift guide! I have lots of lovely gift ideas to inspire you with once everything arrives safely. So not many new posts since the last update, you can find out about treatment for gym injuries or how to keep your clothes looking great!
Cinema Trip
It was lovely having a free trip to the cinema. A local cinema had a special event Canada Cymru weekend with lots of free screenings and even a chocolate tasting sponsored by The National Lottery. I took my youngest and mum with me. I think my mum was looking forward to the chocolate tasting workshop afterwards. If you get a chance do watch the film Peace By Chocolate its very moving and funny too. The chocolate tasting helped me discover a lovely 55% chocolate made with coconut milk, it was so nice, I bought a couple of bars to go home with.
Operation
My poor dad had his gall bladder removed since my last update. So, I spent a day keeping my mum occupied whilst we waited to collect him from hospital. To try and distract ourselves from our worries we shopped hard and ate nice cake until it was time to see him again!

He is recuperating at home and looking much stronger now, which is such a relief. I hate seeing my dad under the weather, he is the best dad!
Curry With Neighbours

We went out for a curry with my fabulous neighbours. I guess one bonus of our house not selling was getting to keep the lovely ones we have! It’s always an unknown quantity when you move and have another set of people to get used too all over again. The food was delicious, I had a honey and mango sauce for my curry and the vegetable rice went down a treat!
Cooked Breakfast
My husband and I have been out for a few cooked breakfasts since my last update. Bella was mighty pleased she got to come along with us for one. She was given her own little bowl and a sausage, so she was loving her best life! Such a change from her life in Romanian.

I love the look of all the food in your updates. Makes me feel hungry. Good neighbours are definitely hard to find (and keep!)
It sounds like the new job is going well.
The food you have always looks so good. I hope your dad is feeling better now. x
Good luck with your new job, sounds very similar to mine and I love working with my local community 🙂
I hope you are enjoying your new role as well as not moving. I want to know what that coconut milk chocolate is! #project365
Glad work is going well for you with your three jobs. Those Welsh cakes look delicious. Hope your dad is recovering well from having his gall bladder removed. Bella looks very happy at getting her own bowl and sausage when you went out for a cooked breakfast. #project365
