What gift to buy for Father’s Day
Posted in collaboration with Very. Father’s Day is on the 18th of June this year which leaves you with more than enough time to come up with a suitable gift. It is really easy to be inspired when you browse the Very site. They have an extensive product range which gave me plenty of ideas for my boys dad. I must admit I can find it hard knowing which gift to buy, so I was glad Very pointed me in the right direction.
Usually, I get him something edible. But he is trying to cut back on sugar lately! A high blood pressure scare made him want to ease off, so this year I am avoiding tempting him with calorific treats. Without my usual go to gift, I was pleased Very had me covered instead.
Beats Headphones

The Beats Headphones we were sent were ideal. They work incredibly well at cancelling noise! My husband is definitely enjoying a much more peaceful life since he road tested the Fit Pro (currently £169 on a bank holiday promotion). Although since he has had these true wireless earbuds, I will admit getting his attention is harder. I have to literally walk up to him and nudge him. However, he seems so happy and content in his little world, enjoying music whilst he cooks dinner or does a workout.
We went for the Beats Black, but you can get them in Sage Grey, Stone Purple and Beats White, depending on what you fancy. They are very comfortable to wear and sit in the ear nicely with the flexible, secure-fit wingtips. The wingtips were tested by athletes, so you know these little beauties won’t fall out mid workout when you’re at the gym.
Aftershave

You cannot go wrong with including aftershave as a Father’s Day gift. It is a thoughtful gift that they can use every day. Fragrances can also evoke memories, so it can be a real feel good experience and make them nostalgic too. Plus, you can pick out some incredible shaped bottles to make it a real standout gift this Father’s Day. I was drawn to the energizing fragrance Phantom by paco rabanne (currently £84), it is meant to help give you confidence and energy! But it was that cute robot bottle that made it a must buy! It really is something quite special.
Loungewear

My husband has quite a stressful job and seems to be always working lately! So, when he gets home he wants to quickly unwind and de-stress. I think a great idea for Father’s day for him is loungewear. It really helps you relax because it has a loose comfortable fit. I really liked the BOSS Lounge Pants (currently £39). Buying a designer brand as a gift, can also give the recipient the feeling they are getting something of a superior quality. Plus, when you wear a brand you feel like your portraying it’s characteristics too. For BOSS is being success orientated and trendy which sure beats his current state of worn out and tired!
Sliders

Continuing with the comfort theme another good idea is getting them some new sliders. Sliders are perfect when you want to feel relaxed and more casual. In the warmer weather its nice having the extra airflow too. They are also quite lightweight and designed to be supportive but stylish! You can get designer sliders too with established brands such as Hugo or Ralph Lauren.
I hope you enjoyed reading these suggestions for Father’s Day. If you are looking for even more ideas don’t forget to check out one of my earlier Father’s Day gift guide.
