Week 32: Fundraiser, Treats and More Blogging
I am getting the hang of joining in each week now! Long may it last. Although, sorry in advance for yet more food pictures, which seem to be the main theme of my updates yet again. I had a good week. Saturday I went to a fundraiser, one of the reasons I decided to do all my Co-op member hours last weekend. I hate to miss a fundraiser, especially when cake is on the cards!
Catch up with a friend
I had a lovely catch up with a friend. We met up for bubble teas and a chat. It’s nice being able to meet up with a friend as the week is a little lonely otherwise. Especially as the boys and my husband are working lots.
Retail Therapy

I made a couple of purchases this week that I love. I bought a vase and some fake flowers. They really brighten the place up. I have a feeling a might start making more purchases like this. Looking at them gives me a bit of a lift.
Fundraiser for Breast Cancer
As I mentioned before this week I went along to a fundraiser. It was for breast cancer and I went with my husband and parents. I bought a cream scone and a cup of tea, a book and some raffle tickets. Any excuse to buy sweet treats for me really. However, being all in the name of a good cause makes my calories more noble! Those involved in the fundraiser raised £700 which is an incredible amount.
Day Out
We actually managed to squeeze a very rare day out midweek together. My husband and I had lunch out, although we did decide to have cooked breakfasts. He has been so busy at work lately, it was nice to get some us time.

We also popped into M&S and stocked up on some cakes. The lemon and blueberry cake was a good pick, being moist and flavoursome.

Biscoff Sundae
My eldest had one of these the other day and it looked so good!

I just had to go straight out and buy one for myself.
Also, in the interest of full transparency I don’t just live on cakes and ice creams, even if my blog posts look like I do! I just don’t take a picture of all the fruit and vegetables I eat. I promise you it is much more of a balanced diet than it looks!
Blogging
I have been busy on both mine and my husband’s blogs. I have mainly covered travel topics this week with camping with the kids, an article on Marrakesh and budget friendly family destinations. Whilst over on his blog I have an article with unique birthday party ideas. So, if you have an upcoming celebration that could be a suitable read for some pointers!
Bella

For a little dog she can sure stretch out quite far across the bed! She really does like to make the most of the home comforts she has here. Hanging around on our bed is her favourite place to be. It is quite a change from Romanian street life.

It sounds like you had a great week.
How lovely that you got to meet up with your friend, it can get lonely when the kids are doing their own thing.
Yum! I love all your food pictures although after looking I always end up feeling peckish. x
I think food photos are mostly the only ones I’m taking at the moment, so it’s not just you! Nice to get some free time with your husband. I didn’t realise that you both had blogs
The vase is pretty and I thought the fake flowers were real, they look good. Nice to get out for a few treats together.
Lovely to catch up with friends and I love the pic of Bella. #project365
Those fake flowers are pretty. That was a good amount raised by the fundraiser. I’m sure calories don’t count when they’re for a good cause! Lovely to have a midweek day out with your husband. Bella looks very comfortable stretched out on your bed. #project365
