We started the day with an Uber from our Virgin Hotel to Blueberry Hill for breakfast. It was a recommendation I found in one of my Las Vegas Facebook groups. So, I was glad to get it crossed off my list. We were over halfway through our holiday so I needed to get through everything as quickly as possible. The main thing we were looking forward to today had been the Tournament of Kings and it didn’t disappoint.

Blueberry Hill

We had heard amazing things about this local hotspot. The pancakes were huge! I only managed to eat two of the four.

They really were amazing pancakes, I thought I liked Denny’s pancakes, well my mind was totally changed once I had savoured these beauties. You could definitely share a serving of their buttery pancakes. I hated wasting them, especially as they were so good! But I literally couldn’t take another mouthful.

My husband ordered a different breakfast, but our lovely server even gave him two complimentary little pancakes on the side, so he didn’t miss out on the pancake experience whilst we were there. Very friendly people and attentive service. I just wish we had managed to go back a second time during our trip.

The Pinball Hall Of Fame

After breakfast we caught an Uber to the Pinball Hall of Fame. I got everyone a load of quarters ($60 worth) and we spent a couple of hours being thoroughly entertained here. Yes, some of the machines don’t work but its amazing to see what they look like anyway. Just don’t put your money in any machines that aren’t lit up.

They have packed a lot into the building. My youngest was a big fan of the grabber machines, but we didn’t have room to take all his goodies home, so he left them on top of different machines for other children to enjoy which I thought was kind of him. He also managed to complete the old Simpsons arcade game with his dad, which kept them occupied for ages.

We even saw the Pinball Hall of Fame cat.

Museum of Selfies

This attraction had some great reviews on TripAdvisor, but at best it was okay. Although you will giggle a bit and have some fun.

However, it’s a very short lived experience (30 minutes tops) and the staff member there on our visit really shouldn’t work there. It said online that they help with pictures, so you get great photos. He spent the entire time just eyeing us suspiciously like he thought we might steal one of his soft play balls or one of the fake coins in the bathtub!

Even when he saw we were confused about things (how to take a photo in the upside down room), he didn’t jump in with that “amazing customer service”, or customer service of any kind. Fortunately, there is a video there, so we made sense of it eventually without him.

I think your hard earned money is probably best spent elsewhere. You even have to sign a disclaimer on arrival, in case of death or personal injury! Not exactly the best start to what is meant to be a fun attraction…

I guess one plus is they have reduced the price of the attraction, it said super sale on our receipt and was $72 for the four of us. I am not sure if it was a special time or just their new price.

You see I had it on my to do list as being $125 total for the four of us, so I was grateful to save something here. It would have been more frustrating if I had spent $53 more that’s for sure!

You might now think there is more here because of all my photos. But these are the highlights there isn’t much more of substance there. Except for the emoji ball pit.

Bellagio Chocolate Fountain

It’s on the free attraction list for Las Vegas so I thought we better check it out. It has a sign saying it’s the World’s Largest Chocolate Fountain and has over 500 feet of stainless steel piping. It took two years of engineering, planning and design to develop it so it’s worth a look!

Casinos

Other than that, we walked through a few casinos so my husband could tick them off. Over the ten days I think he made it inside twenty six (or thereabouts) of them in total. He was never very long in each, just a quick few spins so he had tried his luck. It gave me a chance to look at things, the foyer in Aria looked great with its autumn theme.

I also liked these bird seats by Aria Hotel.

Tournament of Kings

Tournament of Kings at Excalibur Hotel & Casino. I had heard a lot of positive things about the entertainment value of this show so was excited to see it. The food that was provided was filling and warm, although the chicken a bit dry. But it did the job.

There was sword fighting, jousting and dancing, and a story of good conquering evil! I think it’s a must do at least once when in Las Vegas. I booked this up quite a bit in advance which meant we had great seats. You don’t pay anymore for being in the front row which is a pleasant change. The lighting made it tricky getting a good photo, but it was much better just living in the moment and watching it anyway.

We were in Row A Romania. All the seats have great views, the only thing is some people like to keep standing up and being a bit annoying like that. So, if you can sit in the front like we did it avoids that being a problem. Although to be fair it was only one group in particular that I saw being selfish like that, they basically stood up for most of the Tournament of Kings show!
