Zuru Series 3 Smashers Review
My youngest son was delighted to receive a bundle of Zuru Smashers series 3 toys. It was the Epic Dino Egg that really captured his attention! He couldn’t wait to smash it and see what exciting things would be hidden inside. He wasn’t disappointed there was so much included!!!
The build up continues as all the items are individually wrapped. You even get a little map to see which order you should open them!
It kept him occupied for absolutely ages just because there was so much to do. I was very impressed with the sensory experience it offered, he had kinetic sand, slime, putty, a fossil digging block and a fizzing lava block to explore. He was happy in the sunshine making one discovery after another.
You also get six of the Smashers balls inside the egg so it’s the toy that just keeps on giving! It’s currently available to buy from Smyths for £19.99 (reduced from £24.99) which I think is a real bargain for what is included. If you want a peaceful afternoon this is the toy to guarantee it!

In each of the activity packs children get a new piece of an exclusive Smash-o-saur. There are three to collect so you might want to order a few Epic eggs to increase your chances of getting them all! The egg you can rebuild after smashing open so that is useful to store your Smashers toys in perhaps. I am sure my son is going to want to keep adding to his collection now he has started. With over 100 to collect he still needs plenty more, I am quite glad about that as I have been at a loss about what to get him for Christmas, yes, I really did say the C word in September!
The Smashers 8 dino pack costs £7.99 each. I think I like this latest Zuru series slightly more than the last (and I loved the last one, you can refamiliarize yourself with our review of series 2 Smashers just in case you have forgotten!) only because they have added the surprise fossil element! My boys love a bit of fossil digging, it means they must work harder to see what they are going to get! I like to keep them busy. Occupied boys get up to less mischief!
There is also a Smash Rex playset that we didn’t get sent sadly. This dino smashes eggs then you can watch them come out the other end! Yes, I know it sounds a bit gross, but kids will think it’s hilarious!!!

I think it’s good that there’s a variety in the sensory bits included inside so it’s not loads of things which are all similar x

we had some smashers this year and my daughter loves them. They are pretty cool to play with.
These would be great for the holidays. My nephew is really into dinosaurs right now and I know he’d get a big kick out of these smashers.
This looks like a lot of fun, I think my boys would love them especially the youngest who has ASD and adores sensory play.
I’ve never heard of these before, but they look super neat and fun for boys.
