My fabulous new Mia Tui bag has been on tour last week. It has proved to be extremely helpful with all its handy compartments and of course the sheer size to store pretty much whatever I wanted or needed!

Prior to having kids at a push I could fit pretty much everything I needed into my jeans pocket. Just my house keys and a few quid and I was sorted. Nowadays more of a military operation seems to take place. I need drinks, snacks and entertainment or the boys might have a mini meltdown!

We have been to Aardman Studio’s, Wokey Hole and to see family in Somerset all the while I have had my trusty Minnie Amelie bag (£55) with me. It has proved to be invaluable on our travels. Obviously I would have loved to road test it abroad as it has some useful features. But hubbie said sadly our budget would not stretch on this occasion!

My bag has received plenty of appreciative glances. It is very attractive as well as functional. So even though I am doing my mummy role and carrying everything (for any possible situation!) I still felt quite stylish. All the “stuff” I need is hidden out of sight. However still on hand for a childcare emergency.  Siblings start fighting I just crack out a bear snack and peace is restored momentarily!

The only thing I would say is as much as I am impressed with the space within the bag, I was not always aware of my new dimensions! I did occasionally bash into things and people. So I would say be extra vigilant when out and about so you do not send lovely items flying off shelves. Aardman Studio’s charming display of figures thankfully survived a direct hit with my handbag!

Amazing Features

I liked having everything clearly partitioned, as I need to get my hands on things quickly when the boys behaviour starts deteriorating.

The removable zip-up clear PVC bag would have been beneficial. You can show all my liquids and toiletries to airport security and the bag is so roomy I could have squeezed plenty of duty free into it (the more the merrier!).

A section to hold pens when your blogging about an event is great. Otherwise I write with whatever I can lay my hands on first. That has included the boys crayons, which when everyone else is typing on an ipad looks pretty unprofessional!

For new mums the fact you can conveniently fit in a changing mat and make use of the insulated bottle holder area is another big plus. If you have no need to keep milk warm you can use it for your strong coffee instead to wake you up in the morning!
