Dig In! Review & Giveaway

I was delighted when Dig In! (RRP
£19.99) arrived as Drumond Park games are always a huge hit for my boys. This is the perfect present to unwrap on
Christmas day, simple to set-up and play, yet demanding and entertaining enough
to keep everyone happy from 8 to 80.

It’s such a frantic game as you
desperately try and find the items like rabbit, dog, and teddy on your card
first. It certainly improves your
powers of observation looking for your six objects and your reaction speed as
you try and grab as many of them as you can on your turn. You can use both hands so have a good
rummage around and see if you can find any of your six.

You can feel the tension rising
as you hunt through the coloured objects knowing your 15-second allocated
hunting time goes far too fast. The
pace of the game is very rapid. If no
one wins a round you all have a turn digging this can be a bit more of a
squeeze (and adds to the challenge!).

But when you’re not digging in,
keep your eye on those coloured items so you can put your next 15-second slot
to your best advantage.

No day dreaming, focus on that
bowl at ALL times, the previous player might unearth one of your objects if
your lucky and when your time starts you can grab it straight away. I like this aspect of the game, as no child
gets bored because they have something to actively do in between turns.

If you find your six items you
get to keep the card, whilst the first to collect three cards is the overall
winner of the game.
