Win Civilization VI and Carnival Games
Gifted. My two love console games so I was so pleased to be sent these two titles to review and giveaway. Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is the type of game I adore myself! A strategic game you can really get stuck into.
You take it in turns to try and build an impressive empire that will stand the test of time. Valiantly fending off anyone who tries to challenge your rule! You can research new technology, making improvements to your city and begin trading with other opponents as you move through different stages of development.
I found out that when you expand look out for certain terrains which have better bonuses when you grow your district near them. Although if you get attacked in these areas the operation of your city will subsequently be impaired. You can opt to go down the military route or try and be diplomatic. Either way you will have an amazing time getting to grips with this game and seeing your empire prosper.
I noticed there are five ways to achieve victory in this game. I like that its not all about waging war. You can instead work on developing your civilization in other ways. There is also an expansion bundle now available with Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm. With Rise and Fall you need to keep your people loyal or they will rebel. In Gathering Storm, you have natural disasters to deal with that can change the game completely! It’s good that you must think about improving your planet’s climate. It might help people realize our impact on the environment has consequences.
Carnival Games
Carnival Games was already a firm favourite of ours! Until we made the big mistake of sending it back with the Switch that was being fixed but was then replaced. We are so pleased we have the game of carnival favourites again as we all really enjoyed it. It’s quality family entertainment that is easy to get stuck in and play. The mini games offer lots of variety. You get to try your hand at lots of things and see if you are more skilled than the other players.
When you play games, you get tickets that you can use to unlock the rest of the games. There are twenty games in total. It’s a fabulous title to get all the family together this Christmas. We played as a group of 10, 12, 38 and 40-year olds but I could imagine my seventy plus year old parents wanting to give it a try this Christmas too!

Civilization VI would be my choice – love turn based games like this, I used to love the old Total War: Rome & The Medieval series of games.

Civilisation V! looks great. I love games where you begin by building your own home, then expanding and gaining land and keep on going till you have an empire. You have to think about defense and trading and feeding your people. Oh it sounds so much fun.
Civilisation! I absolutely loved playing this in earlier versions many years ago. Have wasted many a happy hour doing it, and I’d love to see how much better it is now!
