My landing is quite big but also a little boring. We have new grey carpets and freshly painted magnolia walls but no real personality. So, I was thrilled to be introduced to Photowall with the opportunity to pick out three canvas prints to change that. Wall art can make such a difference. It has broken up the monotony of magnolia and added a much needed splash of colour.

Plenty Of Choice

The hardest part was settling on which canvas prints to order. Photowall have so much choice to pick from. It was quite enjoyable browsing through everything they had available. Even if I did find it hard narrowing it down to the three choices. Just prepare yourself to be on their site for a while (maybe put the kettle on first!) and make yourself comfortable.

If you have a theme in mind, you can just select a category instead or have a look at best sellers to see which prints are popular with other customers. I thought it was also useful you could view suggestions based on the room you wanted wall art for. After a good browse I was drawn to surfaces and textures. Usually if I am offered a chance to review a canvas print, I choose to have photos of our family but with the boys getting older that is not seen as the cool thing anymore. I really love the style of the surfaces and textures canvas prints. Being both captivating and colourful they have added a sense of sophistication to our landing.

I sometimes felt our landing was a bit of a wasted space. It is very spacious but other than a walkway through to other rooms it had no real purpose. However, I am calling it the art gallery now and have plans to add a console table, lamp and chair. I still have lots more wall space to fill, so I think a return visit to Photowall will be on the cards soon. I might need to start giving other rooms a makeover too! Now I have found Photowall I am going to want new wall art everywhere!

My Selections

I picked out High Tide (£110), Teal Wave (£110) and My Greenhouse Watercolour 4 (£103) each sized 100 x 70cm which was the largest canvas prints they offered. Basically, I wanted them as big as possible because it’s a large space to fill and I wanted them to create an impact. Each of the three pieces look great visually and help me feel at peace. Some artwork is too busy, but these are all very serene.

Wall art orders are printed and shipped within 4 days. So, you can soon appreciate your new improved aesthetics. I am sorely tempted to order some more. I really like Emerald Galaxy, Bliss and Blue Water Ripple. The muted calm colours feel very restorative.
