I haven’t posted a weekly update since July the 4^th. I think that might be a new record for me. But I am back again finally. It’s been a crazy few months and I have had my reasons for neglecting to join in the linky. I have started two new jobs! Yes, I don’t do things by halves do I?!? One of my jobs is at a letting agent and the kindest person gave me a cup of tea and biscuits whilst I was doing viewings. It really cheered me up, there are so many good people in the world!

I also now have my own car and am driving regularly! I actually passed my driving test many years ago but left Sean to do the driving. However now I have my own freedom to go places! Well mainly work… but still its progress.

So, what else have we been up to since the last update? This is when I browse through my mobile phone pictures and hope for a memory jog to spur me on. Be warned you probably have quite a bit to catch up on so get comfortable.

Dog Treats

My eldest made dog treats as part of a press pack with DC League of Super-Pets! The dogs absolutely loved them. You can see Bella eyeing up one of them in the feature picture at the top of my blog post. It’s well worth having a go making your own dog treats so easy to do.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

We took the boys clay pigeon shooting which they thoroughly enjoyed. Although the kickback on the gun gave them all shoulder bruises! It was a great activity for them to try regardless and I do like for them to have the opportunity to experience something different. Otherwise, they would spend the entire weekend glued to their consoles.

Yarn Bombing

One village I visited was all about the yarn bombing. It really does help make a community look more beautiful with interesting, knitted artwork to look at. I took a quick picture of one of the pieces but if I have a return trip, I need to get a picture of the dragon they had!

Blog posts

There has been so many blog posts since the last weekly update. However my favourite ones would be the review for Photowall as I absolutely love my new canvas prints and my blog post about making your rescue dog feel at home as Bella has settled in a treat with us.

Southampton

We went back to Southampton to visit family. It was long overdue, so I am so glad we finally managed to squeeze in the trip. With my eldest working all the time over the summer holidays we never had much time to do anything together. So, this was our chance to make some new family memories. We went bowling, booked an escape room and a trip to an arcade. We even had our very first Nando’s! I am not sure we it has taken us so long. I think I thought it would be too spicy, but we had mild meals and really enjoyed them.

Friendship

Simone from Sim’s Life came to visit for a few days. We had a trip out on a miniature railway this time which was a welcome change. I also dragged her on a long walk! But we did refuel with plenty of tasty food. I had a cream scone.

Shopping

We went shopping so I could stock up on clothes for work. I made sure there was time for a cake stop on the way home. I had a giant Bakewell slice as you can see from the photo! Which was quite impressive as we had all had a big pizza each too.

We love this particular garden centre we went back another day for a return visit! Well for more cake…

The Great Eggcase Hunt

My youngest and I joined in with The Great Eggcase Hunt to see if we could find any shark, skate or ray eggcases on the beach. It was a good educational activity to take part in. The purpose was to help The Shark Trust expand their database of eggcases.
